Track sunrise from your window every Sunday for 12 weeks
Same window. Same time-ish. Watch the seasons turn.
30 min ages 7–13· Screen-free
How to do it
Pick a window with a view of the eastern horizon. Every Sunday for 12 weeks, sit there together at sunrise. Mark on a printed sheet: what time the sun came up, where on the horizon, what the sky looked like. Bring coffee for you and hot chocolate for them. Twelve weeks later, look at the chart together — the sun's position has moved noticeably. Talk about why (axial tilt, Earth's orbit).
