Tie a real shoelace knot
Not the bunny ears version. The one that doesn't come undone.
20 min ages 5–8· Screen-free
How to do it
Sit knee-to-knee. Use one of your shoes — the laces are bigger. Teach the loop-swoop-and-pull version (sometimes called Ian's knot). Have them do it on your shoe first, then theirs. Practice five clean reps. If they get frustrated, stop — try again tomorrow. Don't break the moment.
