Magnet treasure hunt
Tape a magnet to a stick. Find everything in the house it grabs.

How to do it
Before starting, have them predict 10 objects they think the magnet will stick to. Tape a strong magnet to a ruler or wooden spoon. Walk through three rooms. Test each prediction. Tally hits and misses. End with the question: 'What's the same about all the things that worked?'
